The first game got a bad rap. It was in no way something any more than a decent launch title, but the media tried their hardest to tear it apart. It has a good concept, it is fun, a decent plot foundation to build off of, and a real shot due to what seems like most people looking back on it and seeing it wasn't a bad game at all.
All it needs is a bit more variety in the gameplay and a few quirky side characters, and a sequel good strike gold as far as 3D platormers go.
