I was thinking of getting one two years ago but decided to go with Asus for my laptop when I heard Sony sold the brand :(! VAIO was originally a brand of Sony Corporation, introduced in 1996. Sony sold its PC business to the investment firm Japan Industrial Partners in February 2014 as part of a restructuring of the corporation to focus on mobile devices.

This reminds of recent talk on Platnetside 2, some still think it;s a Sony owned game and yet they sold off both the game and the studio that handled it, now Daybreak own it.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
