I've never had any problems with my 60GB (US model) PS3, except for freezing during Assassin's Creed. I've had mine for almost 11 months, so its not quite as old as your 60GB. I really hope the YLoD doesn't become as big of a problem as the PS2's Disc Read Error. (Though I don't think it will.)
