If I replied to the actual rant in the OP I would get myself banned.
I say this with restraint..... Uncharted 2 is widely regarded as one of the best action / adventure games ever, keep in mind it came out Oct 2009. It just featured in number 1 spot on Sam Lakes top 5 games ever list and is still a benchmark for all other adventure games.
The way I play UC games is; Enjoy the characters and narrative, this drives you forward to find out more and explore the relationships. Seek perfection in your shooting and movement, Drake is not sonic or a super soldier. He moves at normal speeds, what makes the difference is when and how you move, when to blind-fire or when to grenade. Always seek the headshot as it cuts down ammo usage and combat-time. Learn from your mistakes.... if you got caught behind cover and flanked by shotgun enemies, then make sure you take steps so that you don't end up in the same position again.
At this stage I realise some of the games parts can feel dated but not so much that an open mind could not appreciate what a masterpiece it was and still is.
