I think though that Nintendo shouldn't give DK to a team that doesn't understand the essence of DK. Retro did a great job capturing the spirit, especially with the second one (They got right the enemies and the music, which were my 2 biggest complains about Returns). It may have hold them back from creating a new tentalizing IP, but they made sure DK wouldn't fall into oblivion like it did back in the Gamecube days (even though EAD Tokyo was in charge of Jungle Beat, they didn't quite catch the essence like Retro did) and for that I'm eternally grateful. But I'm biased since it is my favorite franchise.

I didn't like Jungle Beat.

Me neither, but what's shocking is that it was the same team as the brilliant Galaxy games, so you can see that for a treasured franchise, you need extreme handling and caring. That is the real success of Retro.
