If NX is a home console, it won't have similar power to ps4 and power has no relation with generations. I shouldn't have to explain something so simple. Tell me, why do you fail to understand that wii u, ps4 and x1 are the 8th gen home consoles? And why do you not understand that what comes next is 9th gen?

What comes next is Nintendo's 7th console. Not neccesarily the 9th generation. If you haven't noticed, Nintendo's recent consoles have been in between console generations in terms of power. And because of that they now find themselves in an awkward position after WiiU failed to meet their sales expectations. I shouldn't have to explain that there's little to no point in going significantly above PS4's power now, or in the forseeable future, because the industry is mainly making games based on the PS4's standards, and will continue to do so for several years because they're the market leader by a large margain. So if NX was significantly more powerful, that's just going to be a waste of money, as the PS4 ports it gets will only look somewhat more impressive on the overpowered NX, because the game engine is still made based on 8th gen technology. And Nintendo's 1st party games never needed that kind of extra power due to their simplified textures compared to other high end graphical games. This will only drive up the cost of the console (which is a mistrake they're not likely to repeat after WiiU), and for the few extra sales it'll get, it's not worth it. The game industry won't move on from the market leader with it's 36+ and fastly growing userbase for a new console that starts over from a 0 userbase, no matter what it's specs are. And if NX releases within a year, which just about everything points to, including AMD's shareholder conference where they said they will turn priofit on a chip for a new console in the second half of 2016, it will seemingly be out 3-4+ years before the competition. Not just one year before them like before. Meaning the technology they have available to them at the time will be much more limite than before. And thus that much more expensive. By the time PS5 and XB2 come out, the NX would be so far behind in technology, it would make the gap between Wii and PS3 look like it was close.
While it doesn't determine everything, the generation has a lot to do with power. That's why WiiU got practically no 8th gen games from third party developers. It basically only got games that were also ported to 7th gen consoles. As soon as cross gen support for Generation 7 consoles largely ceased, so did the majority of WiiU support. That's why Kingdom Hearts 3, a game that makes a million times more sense on a Nintendo system than an Xbox, skipped WiiU, and went to Xbox instead. Just like so many other games. A console's power determines whether or not it will get a certain generation's games or not. And what generation a console belongs to is defined by the kind of games the console gets. New 3DS was slightly more powerful than the regular 3DS. And it made a total of 0 developers interested in making new games for it. 99.99% of it's library is regular 3DS games.
With a new console, Nintendo can get 8th gen games such as Dragon Quest 11, or Final Fantasy 7 Remake, etc. And if the vast majority of the games NX gets ends up being 8th gen games, then it's an 8 gen console. The industry is not going to stop their focus on PS4 when it has several years left or lucrative sales for them. Most things indicate that Nintendo are joining the 8th generation 3 years late, with their own twist as usual. The next generation starts when the majority of developers move on to Gen 9 development. So the question I posed was if the NX will mostly compete for the attention of 8th Gen games along with PS4 and XB1. And I think that's going to be the case. Hence joining an ongoing race.
