Titanfall TV show in development, Titanfall 2 to have dedicated singleplayer

So Titanfall on X1 and PC was nothing more than a glorified multiplayer beta? I mean really if they are actually going to put some substance in the game they may as well just add a sub title to it instead of calling it Titanfall 2. I mean this would be the true start of the story afterall.
