I think more mid-tier titles like Pokken, Splatoon, and Mario Maker that emerged (or potentially in the case of Pokken) as big hits and as platforms in their own way will be more probable for Nintendo. They can only do so much at this point when it comes to developing their big hits for both 3DS and Wii U. Even though they've already merged their handheld and home console divisions, a huge AAA Nintendo game will not be done within a short time span. They have Zelda U and Star Fox Zero in development right now, but even Zero is being outsourced.

At least 3DS can potentially have a few more big hits that we may not know yet for this year, especially with Pokemon having its 20th anniversary celebration.

We'll just have to wait and see.
