That's where I thought people might disagree with me. I personally didn't find it dull and I enjoyed the open world in the game, especially after how dull I found revaluations the year before.
i suppose it's down to what you enjoy in the series. I enjoy meeting the historical figures, having interesting worlds to explore and rampaging through the battles (Unitys failures in these departments are why I hate it so much).
