Yeah I agree with you. There were definitely some people on this site that over reacted big time regarding the Wolf Link Amiibo unlocked the Cave of Shadows. Look, what people need to understand is that, if Nintendo wants Amiibo to be a big part of their future, they can't simply be used to unlock skins or provide daily power ups. There need to be some significant benefits to owning and using the Amiibo. Unlocking a dungeon is a good start IMO.
Look, I get it, if you don't want to spend the money to buy the Amiibo/don't want the Amiibo period, then yeah, you will miss out on the Cave of Shadows. However, I really don't see how this qualifies as shady business dealings as some have indicated here. What Nintendo has done is remastered a great game. They added new textures, enhanced lighting, and improved gameplay (swimming, Epona, faster movements/animations, etc.). That in and of itself is worth $50. In addition to this, if you want to play a new dungeon, you have to pay an extra $10 and buy the Amiibo. Seems fair to me.
