This. Cod 4 is king. You just had to play this back in 2007 to understand. A single player campaign hadn't come close since and the only as Carl says, iconic. I still play cod4 online on ps3 to this day.
You can argue an earlier cod on pc because they featured similar gameplay and maps (many cod4 maps were remastered) but I'd still go with cod4.
