The Handheld Banjo game was 2-D.

Totally different from the 3-D Banjo games. So... your comparison fails again. It was also badly recieved for not being like the 64 Banjo games.

So your comparison still isn't valid.

You can continue to nitpick every last detail of it if you'd like because I'm sure there are even more differences between the two, like how one instance is in the 80s and 90s while the other is in the 90s and 00s. Look, my comparison fails again. In fact there's only 10 letters in Donkey Kong and 12 in Banjo Kazooie, and here my comparison fails again. I guess I couldn't create the wow-inducing mirror image side by side comparison all naysayers were hoping for to bring them back to the fold. Sorry about that.

You're all acting like this game is not within it's original genre. It's still a platformer and should be able to head into a new direction if that's where the developers' passion is taking it. I really hope every dissappointed person here is still dissappointed and not getting this come November, because i'd really hate to hear the whining over multiplayer too.

Here's my Miyamoto quote again for those that missed it the first time:

“We don't pay a whole lot of attention to the Internet until people have played the game - then we pay a lot of attention to whether people liked it. We read through it and see it, but we don't take it into consideration. ... [The Internet] is not going to dictate the direction of where the game goes.”

I swear that man has a quote for everything.
