I don't hold it against my dad for whipping me often when I was a kid. I don't think it was a good way to teach me a lesson but it's fine, whatever.
However, to take a video and post it online and think this is a good measure to take to teach your children a lesson? WTF. Utterly retarded. And for what? Bad grades? That's a retarded parent.
If you think good grades are the sole reason you will get anywhere in life or if you fail school then you get no chances somewhere else, well.... you are retarded too. I am in my late twenties and I am where I am not because I just get good grades.
Self-esteem issues, which these kids will probably be plagued with, can be the biggest thing to stand in the way of hard-work and talent. Without high-self esteem, success is impossible. Without good grades? you can still pave your way through life and succeed.
