And you're wrong.  It's not an excuse to get lazy.  AAA games take longer than ever to produce.  They have teams that can get well over 100 people.  Meanwhile a port could have 5-10 people on it.  I believe God of war 3 remastered had 3. Stop pretending it's at the expense of new games just so you can justify your faux outrage. You're fooling nobody.

It's an excuse you're the one pretending it's not, companies have been doing AAA games for years they even have experience in HD development now yet their output when new to HD is better then now when they know the ins and outs, they even have engines they can license to speed things up. They throw you a remaster which people like yourself accept as a filler for a brand new console so they don't have to bring out as many new games.

The' more it's accepted in how it's being handled the more it's going to be exploited, it happened with DLC when Bethesda released the infamous horse armour and people defended it then companies like EA took it to the next level with microtransactions now it's a part of the industry.

Omg you're so ill informed on the matter.  PS3 development was nothing like ps4. They are polar opposites.  Saying they're used to HD is also a mute point.  The HD games now are way more detailed.

Answer these two points you continue to dodge.

#1 if a dev team has 200 people what's wrong with 5 of them remastering the last game?  it helps fund the current game,  fills the droughts and keeps the fans happy while they wait or its perfect for series new comers.  It might also allow the publisher to judge demand for next mainline entry so they can invest wisely.

#2 those 5 guys who do the remaster would probably be sitting around waiting for their part of the main project if they weren't on the remaster.  So it's more productive.

There is demand for them so we get them.  It's all good my friend :)
