They may have went a little overboard but a good parent is supposed to chastise their kids performance so the parents in question of that video got their message across loud and clear ... 

In no way did the parents bully them but what they did was teach them the idea of "guilt" ...

Well, what is this going to do? It doesn't help the situation at all. If he really wanted his son to do better, maybe he should have paid more attention to his performance at school and tried to help him.
