Again I agree timing was wrong, but if Retro can't be allowed to make a DK game in order to make room for new IPs or Metroid, maybe someone should ask if EAD3 should be allowed to continue making mainline Zelda games (considering how much time and resources go into those games). After all, that small group of developers who made Splatoon have not only beaten DK (on WiiU), they're also on track to beat Skyward Sword (on Wii).

Some didn't like Tropical Frezee (like me), so the people that defended was saying that TF was the right move because Returns sales.

And again, nobody is asking Zelda team to do anything other than Zelda. And long cycles are bad as I have been whinning all the gen.

Ok, but why? Why the double standards? You agree long cycles are bad, so you agree (from what I understand) that the series is not mamaged at its best,  but don't you think another studio may be able to handle Zelda as well, while R&D3 could make new IPs (like Splatoon)?

Same goes for Wolly Yoshi, for example: the WiiU didn't need yet another 2D plaftormer, yet Goodfeel doesn't get any hate for creating one.
