Halo 3 versus Call of Duty 4

Probably asked before, but somehow the feeling creeps on to me, that secretly many gamers like CoD more than Halo, this time around at least.. am I seeing ghosts or might this actually be true.. do you think Call of Duty 4 is 'better'? If you have only played CoD4 you can't know of course...
