I think if you edit the poll you lose all previous votes, so best not to. A website improvement could be a button for people be able to flash up the poll result for as long as the button is clicked, that way you don't need to alter the percentages by having a "see results" vote which is actually a non-vote but that still changes the % distributions in the poll.
