I got a 250gb Xbox 360 a while back.  Right out of the box, if I just leave the Controller idle and not touch it, my character would walk forward ever so slowly.  I didn't return the console and I still have the controller to this day.  I eventually learned to subconsciously press "down" on the stick slightly.  This counteracted the character walking forward.

Fast forward to 2015.  I bought a second controller for my Xbox One so my daughter could co-op Resident Evil Revelations 2 with me.  Before we beat the game, it started happening with one of the two identical controllers.  That became my controller as my daughter could never aim properly.  So last November, I bought another Xbox One controller (black and silver with a standard headphone jack).  Within a couple of weeks, my other other all black controller started doing the exact same thing!!  I could leave the Controller sitting down and it will automatically scroll through menus or make aiming really tough in shooting games.

I know of no way to calibrate the controller. I took care of them and none of my other consoles have this issue.  The XB1 controller actually feels best in my hands but having about $120 worth of hardware that doesn't work is no fun. Any advice or input?
