I think you also need to look up swedish crime statistics, because violent crime, robbery and murder are lower than they were ten years ago. The big problem is with sexual harrasment, where we have seen some big increases lately, and especially rape. So, crime overall has decreased, but rape has increased until 2012 (it has decreased slightly the last couple of years). This is definetely something that needs to be addressed and even though we know that the vast majority of rapes are committed by people with two swedish parents, the crime rate regarding this specific crime is four times as high within groups where both parents are from another country (and this includes people from all over the world).

 

TBH, and I don't know if it is the same in Sweden as it is here, but rape was something that wasn't reported by many women because it was always seen as the womans fault and shameful, that she must be a slut and wanted it but then said no blah blah attitute.

Now days, women are more open to reprting without society looking at them in a bad way. Therefore I honestly think that rape figures have gone up because more women report the incident than they used to in the past.
