You missed the point because you were set on trying to make out that people who like to collect physical games are behind the times while the fact that your example was a Model T Ford which no doubt most people here would love to own so they could just say they own it, doesn't mean they'd use it every day and all probably own a safe reliable Japanese car anyway.
And so what if it's revenue vs volume? It was last year, 2015, that revenue finally passed CD sales. The point of that was the date. As long as the revenue gained from selling non-digital releases of games remains so high, publishers will always release a disc version.
Many people here have mentioned why digital just isn't quite there yet, doesn't mean we are behind the times. We just don't see it as acompletely viable option just yet.
