you're delusional if you think EA could actually push consoles with just their sports titles. won't work
its unlikely EA even has the assets or ability to attempt that sort of thing anyway
maybe something like Activision could possibly do it, you have to have GIANT franchises for it to work, i.e. Call of Duty or something
a lot of people seem unaware that Nintendo is by far the largest company in terms of home console SOFTWARE sales. no one else comes close. EA doesn't come close in total software sales in total
an EA console would fail because they would get no support from their other third party software competitors and they lack a lot of diversity in their library.
bear in mind that EA's current success is BASED from being a third party. if you're bringing up the possibility that EA would create their own console then all of their sales on other consoles would disappear
its like a backwards conundrum. EA works as a third party developer. they don't have the infrastructure or business model to support what you're suggesting
