Many of the same reviews said the game was too linear and repititous. Last time I checked, those things weren't due to hardware constraints

Gears of War is very linear and lacking much varierty...

Gamespot regarding Killzone PS3, GDC tech demo:

"visuals are looking sharp, and the vast scale of the outdoor areas is impressive"

IGN regaring Killzone (PS2):

"Now even though playing Killzone is to be bombarded by bugs and glitches and technological inadequacies, the whole experience is definitely worth playing. Before you purchase it expecting Halo to spontaneously combust, just remember the profound words of our ratings guide and its 7.0 descriptor, "Killzone is a good game that has some obvious flaws."

Rating 7.5

Regarding Killzone Liberation (PSP):

"It seems wherever Liberation can go the extra mile, it does. It delivers on all fronts, from a thoroughly engrossing single-player campaign to an addictive multiplayer component. Liberation also shames most other PSP offerings through its presentation, which blends excellent visuals and sound with a clean and user-friendly interface. It has a few quirks, but in the end, they seem almost negligible. Definitely recommended to fans of the action genre, but also to anyone who dislikes bad games."

Rating 9

Thanks for answering the second part of my question. Then again, maybe your response was what some people said about a tech demo, cause, you know, a tech demo really shows off a game well. Speaking of which, did you hear how amazing the Doom 3 techdemo was? I totally didn't see any cheap AI!

Until you decide to address that in some meaningful mannar, I'll leave you with this;

EGM Killzone Liberation review - 57 "Running from cover to cover, you'll need to master the art of popping out at just the right time to blow away the enemy. Unfortunately, Liberation seems unsure what to do with it, falling into a repeating loop of key hunts, escort missions, and increasingly impossible battles. Bummer."

Yahoo Games Killzone Liberation review - 70 "Killzone isn't able to fulfill its own potential in the end. More variety in the gameplay would make this the killer app it's ready to become."

Gamespot Killzone review - 69 "There's still some fun to be found here, but ultimately Killzone is a barely adequate game that probably won't hold your attention for very long."

Yeah, reviews for these two games all say the same thing, right?

"Why do they call it the xbox 360? Because when you see it, you'll turn 360 degrees and walk away"
