So many ignorant people in this thread. This game does not have a demo. Most people who play on PC are smart enough to download a pirate version of a game before buying it if it has no demo. This whole "console people pay and PC people steal" thing is ridiculous. There are hundreds of games exclusively on PC and I can't see their makers going to twitter to cry about some pirates. Give the game a fair price, make a demo and stop being a baby. You cannot avoid PC in 2016, piracy is a thing, but just putting DRM into everything is not the solution.

Is it really that hard to make a point without calling other people names? I mean I get it's the internet and all but you can still get your point across without insulting ohers.

And like the creator said, Braid being available for 10 usd didn't stop it from being equally pirated. Dude has some legitimate points and he's so far from crying like a baby, it's not even funny.

Calling out others that show a lack of proper udnerstanding or knowledge is not an insult. Calling someone a dumbass or idiot is an insult. WHen someone is being willfully ignorant, it's especially not an insult when it's proven.

Regardless of what you think of the definition, there are people who are expressing ignorance to suit their own narrative in this thread.

If you want to claim that Braid didn't make enough money on PC and pin it all on Piracy then I honestly don't know what to say because piracy exists not just on PC but on consoles and other areas around the world and yet money is still being made, if you look atht the projections only and not the actual moeny made then you're doing it wrong and pulling a Square Enix, you don't want to pull a SE, especially since I've seen some of you blasting them for them basing their profits on their fabricated expectations.

Yes it is an insult. Just because you think it's not, doesn't magically make it ok. Also, what exactly has been proven here? That people make a claim without having anything to back it up? Yeah, thought so. The funniest thing is seeing people calling others ignorant while they're the ignorant ones.

@bolded. Where did I say that? Why do you feel like putting words into people's mouths? Every single time I have commented on piracy, I said that a percentage of those pirated copies would have led to sales. Now if that % is 5%, 1%. 0.001% is debatable and we will likely never know. All I know is that when I was pirating games I was giving 0 money to the industry (only bought the consoles and sony wasn't making any money off them) and when I couldn't pirate games and had to pay for them, I did. There are others who have admitted so as well, but certain people choose to ignore all such stories in an effort to defend piracy.

Yes, I am aware how piracy can help sales and how a lot of companies are still making money despite piracy. But people like to ignore how piracy affects certain types of games more than others. Dante's Inferno was the most pirated game on xb360 the year it came out. The developers didn't make enough money and there wasn't a sequel. The game scored well on meta and the quality had nothing to do with its lack of sales. People are more likely to pirate single player games, beat them (not try them as a demo) and then never buy them.
