Apparently Sony still has not figured out that when you make a console so expensive that parents very often become involved in the decision/purchase process and those parents are already nervous about video games and their effect on their children. Making your console a big jet black monolith and putting out a lot of “edgy” ads, some of which you have to withdraw, is not the best strategy.

Especially a bad idea when your competition is a very innocent looking, non-intimidating little white box with a pretty blue glow that costs a whole lot less and runs ads that show families playing together.

Basically they gave away the market of anyone young enough not to have an independent disposable income, because more often than not, if Mommy and Daddy are paying for it, they are not going to pick the one with the ads with scary zombies, the guy running around with a shot gun, and especially not ads feature a thumb/penis

Where are they getting this crap? The Miyamoto Ad Agency?
