@cklmb

definetely not

Chrono Trigger & FF6 disagree

ps1 is the greatest. end of story.

CC and FF6 (though not as good as the originals) was already on PSX. Add FF7, Xenogears, Vagrant story and Chrono Cross and you can forgetaboutit....

But then again ckmlb has a point since PSX games can be played on the PS2. So technically the 60gb PS3 is the best RPG console!

Eh, i don't know. Personally i'm not sure i'm willing to count BC. Aside from which the CT port sucked. If you counted ports i'd say PS1 and SNES were close

bud I'd still say SNES which had a lot of solid RPGs as well, along with Earthbound an RPG I really think deserves to be up there in the conversations of great RPGs of all time.

Of course I also thought FF7, Chrono Cross and Vagrant Story all sucked and gave all three games away.

 What was so bad with the port? That was the only version I played and I loved it. From what I remember, the major differences were the addition of anime cut scenes and slight delay/load time for battles.

My Top 5:

Shadow of the Colossus, Metal Gear Solid 3, Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Chrono Trigger

My 2 nex-gen systems: PS3 and Wii

Prediction Aug '08: We see the PSP2 released fall '09. Graphically, it's basically the same as the current system. UMD drive ditched and replaced by 4-8gb on board flash memory. Other upgrades: 2nd analog nub, touchscreen, blutooth, motion sensor. Design: Flip-style or slider. Size: Think Iphone. Cost: $199. Will be profitable on day 1.
