I love chess, but have never had anyone around to play regularly with. So I haven't played it in some years. It's also something I have to "get into" to play, as I can't just sit there and have a casual game.
The best person I ever played was actually a redneck that I used to work with. He had only recently learned to play, but I kept a rough count and he was up on me like 7 games to 30. He also had a streak where he had beat me for about 15 games in a row. At least I beat him on the last game we played. :)
I also had a very cool chessboard and set made of glass. I had it displayed on a glass table with a blacklight underneath. That was so cool looking!
