It's too bad that game developers have to be 'forced' to do things artistically.
Some developers like those. It acts as a check on good programming. That's why it's even good that the PS3 and 360 don't have that much memory.
Not all art is from lack of restrictions. A lot of art is successfully utilizing restrictions.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
