Hmmmm VR is a 'gimmick' but let me guess AR is the next best thing just as kinect was 'the future of gaming'. Motion controlled gaming was never a gimmick only Wii/kinect were fads that died out. And Wii U never took off in the first place so you can't say touch controls were a fad or a gimmick. The PS4 has a touch pad...
