As others have said it mostly comes down to time management. A second factor really is how smart you are, do you need to work hard to achieve results or do you find the content easy. Uni for me back in the day actually probably increased my gaming time, partly because I had the advantage of being good at maths and learning computers and programming since I was 10. The first year or 2 of Uni are actually incredibly easy with class levels not much harder than high school.
