Ultimately, I don't care as long as my personal experience isn't dumbed down in any way.
But I think that the gaming community has gotten so big and filled with such a diverse group over the last 15-20 years, that people have come to expect that all games appeal to all people at all times. And that tends to affect the quality and variety of games, whether you want to admit it or not.
