If the NX were already released to the public, people outside of Nintendo could confirm things about it, e.g. "I can confirm that it has such and such a processor, or such and such a port." But the NX isn't a released product yet. No one has seen it except people who work for Nintendo or those with whom Nintendo has shared it. If anyone says anything about the NX, we won't know if it's true until Nintendo says "Yes, that's true." That's what a confirmation is.
