ROGUE STORMERS – ROGUELIKE ACTION PLATFORMER – LEAVES STEAM EARLY ACCESS ON MARCH 24TH

Black Forest Games, developers of the hit Giana Sisters series, announced today that Rogue Stormers will be leaving Steam Early Access on March 24th. Rogue Stormers will feature on-and-offline co-op with up to four players, and will be priced at $19.99, with phat discounts for 2-Packs ($29.99) and 4-Packs ($49.99).

Yesterday, we shared with you some new screenshots from Escape from Tarkov. Well, Battlestate Games has released another set of screenshots from its latest build, so we thought some of you would be interested in them. Escape from Tarkov is powered by the Unity 5 Engine, and mixes FPS/TPS and RPG genres.

 

THE DIVISION HAS A LIVE-ACTION STORY TRAILER

At a recent Ubisoft event in Los Angeles, I got to watch a live-action story feature for Tom Clancy's The Division called "Agent Origins." Now you can watch it too, provided you're a member of Amazon Prime. If not, there's a trailer for the feature above. Despite its name, the feature (which runs about a half-hour) doesn't really show the agents' origins, but it does provide a little background on the circumstances of post-virus Manhattan and shows each of the four agents being called up for shooty-duty.

JOHN SMEDLEY'S NEW GAME HERO'S SONG IS NOW ON KICKSTARTER

Former Sony Online Entertainment/Daybreak Games President John Smedley, who left the studio last summer to launch a new company, has finally revealed where he's gone and what he's been up to. He's now heading up a studio called Pixelmage Games, whose first project is a “2D pixel art action-RPG” called Hero's Song that's now taking a run at Kickstarter.

 

DANGANRONPA SEQUEL WILL EVENTUALLY HIT STEAM, AS WILL OTHER SPIKE CHUNSOFT GAMES

As recently as a year ago, the possibility of a Danganronpa game coming to Steam seemed very remote indeed. Developed by Japanese studio Spike Chunsoft, these games have traditionally arrived exclusively on consoles, but that's about to change dramatically: in addition to the already confirmed Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, its sequel is also coming to PC.
