Heh. Everything depends. There's already hard time getting to a consensus of which was last generation's Game of the Generation, let alone this new one that hasn't finished yet. And even now you can ask people and some feel that Witcher 3 doesn't even deserve Game of the Year. (well, last year I mean).
I do feel certain games already top Witcher 3, but that doesn't substract for the masterpiece the game is.
