Don't directly correlate the demographics of the video game players with the demographics of Internet forums.   If a correlation exists, you'd need to look closer at the core gamer or high level hobbyists demographics rather than the video game industry as a whole.

Sure, I'd assume they're not the same. Although the difference here will likely translate to the whole to some extent.
