Had no intention of playing, even after Disney announced the inclusion of Star Wars into Disney Infinity because it was clearly marketed for kids, but... I picked up Darth Maul and Kylo Ren for $10 a piece over the holidays because they looked pretty nice and they were only $10 a piece. So I looked at those two figures on the shelf for several weeks, wondering what they would look like animated and found out I needed to pick up a starter set with the USB reader so I picked one up for $50 with the PS4 Twilight of the Empire set and was able to watch animated versions of the figures move around. Then I picked up the Rise Against the Empire and The Force Awakens sets for $25 a piece to see the other two Star Wars playsets. And then I walked into a branch of a toy store that was closing and I picked up a few more Star Wars figures, plus Quorra from Tron and Ultron for $7.50 a piece. And then I picked up the Avengers set and Thor for less than $20. That was all because I picked up a couple figures for $20. So about $175 for everything. Not bad, but quite a bit more than picking up a game for $60 and buying a DLC pack later. |
Almost like my coming out story. 😆
