Who said it didn't look good?
I thought it looked fairly amazing. It had more color and it drew A LOT of screen while doing it all at above 30 FPS (or at least that's what it looked like). Saying it only had as good as graphics as Gears 1 isn't a bad thing since that game looked pretty damn good too.
Also, I don't know when the video was made but anything that GI got was probably made 3-4 months earlier.
