Why wouldn't it be a GOTY anymore? All they do is whine about the graphics... Man, the graphics are AWESOME!!! Hardly any games that surpass it. But even if it would look worse than the original, then so what? It's about the gameplay, man.
And if the gameplay is good, the graphics can be as good or bad as they like.
