Defintely a decline showing over this short period. Would you say that the decline could be due to the rise of digital? |
The decline is due to franchise fatigue and Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer giving 0 fucks about the quality of their games. It's no coincidence that Black Ops 3 is the first CoD in 5 years to be up compared to the previous entry, Treyarch is the only developer somewhat trusted by the majority of the CoD playerbase. Especially Infinity Ward is hated by a lot of players, I'm expecting a massive decline for the next game no matter how good it actually is, wouldn't be surprised if it's under 6m after 2 months. As someone who's bought all CoD games since MW2 and all map packs except those of AW: Infinity Ward could go defunct tomorrow and I wouldn't give a shit. If Infinity Ward keeps doing things like they did since MW2's launch then CoD would be better off without Infinity Ward.
