It always seemed to come up in threads where Sony reps stated the PS3 was on a 10 year plan. I always stated the PS3 would be around for 10 years but not have a lot of support by the 10th year. Seems accurate enough. |
I remember people (including me) saying that the customer decided if a console lasted 10 years or not but I personally never implied the PS3 would die. I actually thought it would be optimized to the point where it competed with eighth gen consoles!
As for the Wii, speaking only for myself, I wanted a Wii HD or a successor sooner, rather than later. I was more than content with PS3 and 360 level performance.
But we see and remember different posts. We both are probably correct.
