This is the way things work. Game development for high quality titles takes a long, often variable amount of time. The result is that one year will be bare and the next might be loaded. This is why the "year" approach to hype makes little sense to me. A game releasing in January of next year is every bit as valid to me as a game releasing in November of this year.

The reason why I'm saying this now is because Microsoft hyped 2015 and now Sony is hyping 2016 and it actually kind of evens out to a certain degree.

With that out of the way, I think the PS4's future line-up is stellar. If the XO failed to make much of a dent after "the best year for exclusives in Xbox history," then it's only going to get more difficult.
