Debatable in the cases of Sega Master System and Megadrive due to Brasil, where they got supported well into the last decade, complete with new hardware revisions.

Edit: apparently, the Master System is still selling around 150k a year in Brasil: http://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/brazil-is-a-video-game-alternate-universe-where-sega-beat-nintendo

These are numbers for official consoles. Replicated and third party copies aren't included because it gets messy. You can buy replicated version of most old consoles.

Take a look at this you can buy on eBay UK

RETRON 5 9 IN 1 CONSOLE

  1. Nintendo NES
  2. SNES (Super Nintendo)
  3. GameBoy Advance (GBA)
  4. SEGA Genesis
  5. SEGA Mega Drive
  6. Nintendo Famicom
  7. Super Famicom
  8. Gameboy Colour
  9. Game Boy

True, such retro consoles exist, but neither do they have an official licensing deal nor the original hardware, which those in brasil do (or did, not sure about the later editions still having the original hardware, especially the mobile versions)

While we're at it, should the RetroN 5 also chart? Could be considered a console after all.
