looks so fun, also this could be a way to market it.

I think I saw this video before. What I think VR could benefi for social gampley is to have what your friend is watching and doing projected into a TV so that he can give feedback of what you ar doing, aka, laugh at you messing up and stuff.

The Playstation VR only requires a PS4 to play while the Oculus Rift requires a high end PC.

Given the above it's likely the Playstation VR will launch for a lower price.

Oculus may be more powerful but the PSVR will be cheaper and easier to use.

I can see advantages Sony may have in the VR space. but I feel like in the end what will determine who wins this venture, if any of those VR devices ever get to rise, is who has the killer app for it.

Of course he's gonna say that. His company's profits and by extension his job depend heavily on consoles and console game sales. Sony artificially creating a bonus console can jump GameStop's profits even more, especially if GS hypes it up. Hype's a powerful concept, and it's easy for companies to force onto the public through gullible gamers if The Order or Evolve's pre-launch hype didn't tell you already. Recall that GameInformer is the one who ran those hype trains?

I buy the part where you say Sony being on the front could benefit GameStop more.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:
