| DakonBlackblade said: The thing is, even for PCs games that look like SC, EV, KCD, The Order or Crysis (on its own time) are very rare, theyre all showcases of the future, on PC case not realy a gen further cause PCs dont have actual gens, but how many ppl could run Crysis and make it look like it was suposed to look when it released. Even many years after it released we still have more game sthat dont look like that than games that dont. I believe that a game that manages to be this far ahead of its time technically should have its merits. Oh yeah we do have less crysis looking games out there for sure but the thing for those games is that they don't come cheap and require time and good dev teams and we really don't get many of those that pull off crysis/TO games a lot of the time, if they could then we'd see a lot more these days, some devs don't even see good visuals as having to focus on real based styles which is why the indie scene that boomed over the past 5 years has largely kept focus with unique art styles or various engines old and new. Batlefront is gorgoues as hell, thats a fact. One of the most beautfull games Ive sean. I dindt play much of it tough, only a bit at my friends, my dislike of FPSs would make it empossible for me to realy like it anyway. I play it daily though the PC version's community is basically on deaths door and it's not the fault of the users that's caused such an issue to happen but due to the gameplay, lack of sp, lack of an actual server browser etc. I still play like I said but it gets tedious trying to find matches but when I do get in some I do always stop a moment to admire some of the scenery. I believe you meant a movie ? Ye that could work but I doubt itd draw enought interest to be profitable, itd be a mature movie and the fact that its an animation would be associated with somethign for kids, when it relay isnt, and them parent wouldnt understand why it wasnt for kids and stuf. Well TO has those black bars which basically stem from the film industry, TO also borrowed some camera work and looks they implimented with the game and in general it gives off a very movie esque look and feel to it (as opposed to tie in move games that are based from movies themselves). I feel that if Sony went via a CGI route and used a studio like Ready at Dawn to work on the movie and use RAD to work on the game, the two could make a seamless franchise where you are immersed in both the game and the movie, when you leave the cinema you switch on your PS4 and jump right back in but at a different time and place from the movie but still tied to events that will or have occured in the movie. That's the sort of thing we haven't really seen with video games, most movie tie in based games have their own made up plot and use not so great devs which is why those games end up flopping. |
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
