I don't know if it is such a good idea to make a league on a team based game. Only if we count the teams or something like that. I mean how does it help to do a ranking per person if that person must rely on a team (maybe some on the team scarifying himself for the greater good)?

 

That was why I'm not sure how it would work with the Warhawk league because most of it is played in teams, teams which are randomized after each round.

The only way I see it working is if we took gaming points (which include kills, flag captures and spawn point captures). Problem with that is that it can create competition within teams since a kill nets you 1 point, but a flag capture gets you a whopping 50 points. So if a person is close to capturing a flag and is killed he might be inclined to believe that his teammate did not provide cover in order to claim the points for himself. (Though I don't think the Warhawk leaguers are like that really. Thankfully)

So warhawk is a team based game? But the teams are random. Well I thought about such a scenario for Mario Kart Balloon Battle. One things that comes to my mind is that more rely on team results than personal results (only a little). Lets say 2/3 on avarage team points, 1/3 on personal points and create a overall result in such a way. A little more simple would be that people in the winning team are over the people in the loosing team and the ranking by points (or kills or whatever) take only affect in the team ranking.
