Twas indeedy, truth be told the purple ghost dude would always scare the shit out of me as a kid, followed by Baron von Blubba in Bubble Bobble (also another game I owned at the time).
Still wish Sega made more Alex Kidd games because I thought he was an ok mascot, albeit a weird looking one.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
