I agree. It's mostly Meh. I kept thinking there was going to be a payoff or good ending.
The problem is that the show runners do a pretty good job "keeping it real" in that they don't overuse her abilities for no reason. So, when you watch this, you kind of expect something more "super" to happen and it never really does.
I can accept that the show is really more of a character drama. But, like the OP says, so many people do stupid things and the main actress seems like she is try so hard to "not care" like her character is supposed to, it comes across like I shouldn't care either.
I watched the first season once(more than enough). I may watch season 2, as that seems to be where shows either get the small things fixed and get better or they crash and burn all together. We will see...
