TR is not a failure but I see no one is going to convince you of that. This game had to compete with Call of Duty, Fallout 4, Star Wars and Halo. Tell me why over 1M is bad? That's actually great numbers considering the competition. It's not even done selling either. |
... and Destiny: The Taken King, and Assassin's Creed: Syndicate, and Need for Speed, and Rainbow Six: Siege, and Just Cause 3, and the Uncharted Collection, and Metal Gear Solid V, and.. and.... and... so what? Fall is the most competitive time to release a video game. That is prime time for releasing a title. MS/SE knew what was else releasing in the fall. They could have quite easily pushed the release of Tomb Raider back to January or February if they were that concerned.
Just a quick question, and be honest - Do you think Uncharted 4 would have only sold a million copies if it was released Nov. 10th instead of ROTTR? Because I don't. ROTTR really has no excuse for selling as poorly as it did. It is not great numbers.

Really? 45% of people said "Boo, Xbox sucks"?
Well it was the only option that could be chosen if you still thought Tomb Raider sold poorly.

You're trying hard to call it a failure amongst all that. It's not. 1M in 2 months is terrible? Only to someone who is mad or jealous.
