For cartridge based consoles I prefer the original hardware, although in some cases with expensive games I may consider playing with a VC copy instead. I tend to avoid playing with PS1/Dreamcast discs though, if there is an alternative on PSN/Steam I'll go with that instead.

I tried getting Sonic Adventure via Steam and it didn't work. Guess my PC isn't really for gaming. -_-

Sorry to hear that : . With some games it can be a bit of a struggle. I've never had problems with Sonic Adventure on Steam but getting Ultimate Doom to work was a pain in the ass.
