Can't disagree with Luckey, even though he does represent Oculus.
Between the specs of the device and the upper end hardware required to use it, that alone should make it pretty clear. Add the enthusiast $600 price and it's obvious which market they're selling to.
The PS4, on the other hand, is a mass consumer priced device and it should be expected to see the PSVR priced accordingly based upon the specs and the proprietary ecosystem for which it is being utilized. I would be shocked if SCE priced it above the cost of the PS4 itself, making a $299 price tag probable.
At $299, you're still selling to a limited niche within the PS4 consumer user base, but it does represent quite the bargain to the enthusiast interested in jumping into VR entertainment when you add the relative low cost of the PS4 itself.
